Painting Joy and Beauty Home Through Living Color

I'm a colorist and impressionistic contemporary oil painter who believes in the power of color to uplift and inspire

About the Artist

Like many artists, I feel I was born to create and began painting in primary school at the age of six. After earning my degree in Art, Psychology, and Early Childhood Education from the University of Northern Colorado, I combined my professional life with my love of travel. My extensive travels and life experiences continue to inspire my work. My early training established a strong foundation in the Impressionistic tradition, focusing on painting shapes of light and color with loose, expressive brushwork. I also studied at the Loveland Fine Art Academy, the Art Students League of Denver, and with several accomplished artists. I paint primarily in oils. While I enjoy a variety of subjects including still life, landscape, cityscape, and figurative work, my individual paint application and vibrant color create a consistent and recognizable style. Collectors often say they can spot my work from across the room.

Artistic Legacy

My work is meant to capture not just what is seen, but what is felt-the quiet moments, the movement of light, and the emotional connection between people, place, and memory. Through expressive brushwork and vibrant color, I invite viewers into a moment where they can pause, feel, and remember something meaningful in their own lives. I hope to create connection - between past and present, between history and personal experience - through landscapes, the Stanley Hotel, and everyday beauty. Years from now, I want to be known not only for my paintings, but for the lives I've touched through teaching, encouragement, and sharing the joy of art.

Marc Chagall

"If I create from the heart, nearly everything works; if from the head almost nothing."
