Stanley Reflections
A Private note: I grew up at the Stanley from 1974 and lived on the property and or near there till 2022. Our family ran the hotel from 1974-1995. A book is in the works!
Stanley Reflections is an original oil painting inspired by the iconic Stanley Hotel and the surrounding Estes Park mountains. Lumpy Ridge, the Needles, McGregor Mountain, and Mummy Range are the backdrop. Soft layered brushwork and expressive color harmonies evoke the changing light on the foothills, while the mirrored reflection below creates a sense of calm, balance, and quiet contemplation. Painted in a contemporary impressionistic style, this piece celebrates both the natural beauty and historic presence of the Stanley, blending warm earth tones with cool atmospheric hues. The reflection acts as a visual pause inviting the viewer to slow down and experience the serenity of place, memory, and landscape. This artwork is ideal for collectors who love Colorado landscapes, historic architecture, and paintings that carry emotional depth and a sense of story.
